Cynthia Burrows BA, RMT
I have been working as a massage therapist since graduating from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2000. My training includes Orthopedic Assessment, Remedial Exercise, Myofascial techniques, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Injuries and Pregnancy Massage. My continuing education has included CranioSacral Therapy, Traditional Thai Massage, NISA (Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment) and Reiki. In 2007 I became a certified Reflexologist.
My approach to your treatment is a holistic one and I use the different modalities I have studied to offer a treatment to address your specific concerns while maintaining an overall focus to all factors which contribute to your health and well-being. I respect and value the individuality of each client and I want to assist you, my client, toward a more healthy and pain-free life. To further the therapeutic relationship I believe that trust and a sincere, open and honest interaction with my clients is essential. To this effect I welcome your feedback and questions.
During the time we are together, I will offer ways to release tension or help heal injuries outside your massage session, for example; relaxing breathing techniques, the use of heat or ice or gentle exercises to increase flexibility and teach your body more efficient movements.
